Bahadu, an immortal talent, has touched audiences with his humorous and touching characters, and his dedication to Kunjalu's 23rd anniversary is often forgotten or unknown to new generations. Bahadur, a renowned comedian, created a comedy duo in Malayalam cinema during 1960-70 with actor Adoor Bhasi. He was known for his simple presentation, low voice, and slim body. Born to Padiyat Kochumoitin and Khadija, Bahadur started his acting career through stage dramas and eventually worked as a bus conductor. He met Malayalam cinematographer and actor Thikurishi, who introduced him to film and gave him the name Bahadur. He has been in Malayalam cinema for half a century.
In 1954, Bahadur began his career in Akashvani and amateur-professional dramas. He gained fame as "Chakkaravakal" in "Patatha Pinkili" and later became a leading comedian in Malayalam with films like Puliwal, Umm, Unniyarcha, New Sky, New Earth, and Yakshi. His last film was Joker in 2000, with Lohit Das-Dileep, which made him a storybook character who transitioned into comedy. His departure was days before the film's release, highlighting the emotional impact of his character's death.
